Novice-Mid Lesson Plans Ready to Share (Members)

Updated: Jan 11, 2022

Hebrew Our Way Members: Check out these great lesson plans ready to use, shared by teacher Irit Kaye from Beis Chaya Mushka High School in Detroit, Michigan. Irit's units are fun, interesting, clear, and correspond to the Functional Proficiency Approach.

HOW TO GET THE LESSON PLANS

  1. Be a paid member of Hebrew Our Way.

  2. Ask for access to the folder of ready to use items. Avigail has to add you to the Google Drive folder, or she can send you a copy of the unit.

While many items are already available to you on another Google Drive - this new location is being carefully organized and curated to match Hebrew Our Way standards for content and organization. (As much as possible :))

HOW TO FIND THE LESSON PLANS

Each lesson plan has 2 parts:

A Lesson Plan מבנה שיעור

A Student Pages Document דפי עבודה

These 2 documents are kept in their own separate Folder תיקיה

The Folders are marked with the name of the unit and the level (NM = Novice Mid), and an identifying item, such as the authentic material used.

HOW TO USE THE LESSON PLANS

  1. Make a copy on your own Drive or computer.

  2. Use or modify as needed!

Some of these are just PDFs right now. Contact Avigail if you would like a particular editable document.

HOW TO SHARE YOUR OWN LESSON PLANS

Please do!

  1. Contact Avigail howteachers@gmail.com or avigail@hebrewourway.org

  2. If possible, we would really appreciate it if you would use the templates that you will find inside the same folder.

Again, remember you need to be approved for access, so please allow some time for Avigail to do that.

Also, here is the clickable Teacher Checklist spreadsheet to keep track of your curriculum progress, or individual student progress. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11Xh7b0Pqs0EmiDMpyTpKphRqc9Ui5ic7-L7QzbBVzXA/edit?usp=sharing

As mentioned, we will soon add links to connect the Lesson Plans and Study Units to the Proficiency Checklist items.
