Not a Hebrew teacher? Bring the powerful benefits of the functional proficiency approach to your Torah, halachah, dikduk, kriyah, and other Limudei Kodesh lessons and watch your students' skills and engagement grow.
This course, taught mainly in English, provides a strong foundation in understanding how learners acquire language and textual skills, borrowing from second language acquisition theories and the functional proficiency approach to leverage and enhance instructional skills for any teacher of Torah studies. You will learn and practice fun, useful ways to get students participating and acquiring skills, while developing your own sense of how to move them to the next level in a non-threatening manner. This course is also a great stepping stone to the Hebrew as a Second Language Intro Course.
Dvora Kaplan has decades of experience teaching Limudei Kodesh for multiple levels, ages, and environments.
